the fine print, in plain words
Terms of Service
Last updated July 2026
These terms cover using this website and working with Mathematicians (“we”, “us”), a software studio based in Patiala, Punjab, India. We’ve kept them short and readable on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask us before you rely on it.
1. What we do
We design and build custom tools — websites, apps and software — for businesses, and we keep them running. Every engagement is scoped and priced to the specific work. Nothing on this website is a binding quote; the real terms of any project live in the written scope we agree with you directly.
2. Who owns the work
Once a project is paid for in full, the finished deliverables we build for you are yours. We keep the right to reuse our own underlying tools, components, techniques and general know-how across other projects. We may show the work in our portfolio unless we’ve agreed in writing to keep it private.
3. Your responsibilities
You’re responsible for the accuracy of the content, data and access you hand us, and for having the right to use it. You agree not to use anything we build for unlawful purposes, and not to misuse this website (no attempts to break, overload or probe it).
4. Payment
Fees, milestones and any ongoing maintenance charges are set out in your project scope. Late or missed payments may pause work and, for hosted tools, may suspend the service until the account is settled.
5. Third-party services
Some tools we build rely on third-party services (for example messaging, hosting or spreadsheets). Those services have their own terms and availability, which are outside our control.
6. Warranty & liability
We build carefully and stand behind our work, but software is never guaranteed to be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the work the claim relates to. We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses.
7. Changes
We may update these terms as the company grows. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
